We have made some changes to our trailer, including adding in black boxes to make the text easier to read and changing the background to match the poster.

We wern't happy with the background so instead Charlotte has played about with the background and has come up with this. We are both very happy with this.

Based on the feedback from Miss, we have changed the background so that the colours gradient.

Charlotte has changed the font colour at the bottom from whight to red. This allows 'The Project' to stand out more.

• The bloody hand looks a little fake can you edit it at all?

• I wouldn't connect this with horror at the moment...

Update 33

So I did the photoshoot last night of 'bloody handprints'. I experimented with a couple of different ways in which to take the photo's for example using a mirror, using paper, whether the camera did or did not have the flash on. We have chosen our photograph and now we have to edit and incorperate it into our poster. The image below is the imagewe are going to use:

Well done for evidencing your photos - it look messy! I like the first draft of your poster - think about how you can avoid the black background - use shading to help you.

This is our new draft of our poster. We have taken images from our trailer and Charlotte has given them a reflection. We have used the same font across from the trailer and website so that they all link. We have also added in the 'slogan' from the trailer 'When they get given their new project, little do they know, it will be their last...'. This again helps with the linking of the products.

Update 32

Based on the audince feedback we got from the first draft of the poster, we are going to change the font we used. We will probably use 'Annie BTN' as it is what we have used in our trailer.

Update 31

Today I am going to do a photoshoot for our poster. We are also going to go through our trailer and see if there is anything we can use from that.

For our poster we still want to use the moon but we are going to layer the images we choose using photoshop so that is resembles some of our RMA's. For example:

The Amityville Horror and Drag me to Hell

Both of these posters have multiple images murged together to make one. Having small text above written above 'Drag Me To Hell' is effective and would be a nice way to link our trailer to our poster if we used the text 'When they get given their new project, little do they know, it will be their last...'.

 

We are going to play about with some ideas and see what we like the best and based on that we will then get some audience feedback.

When going back over the website we realised that the background wasn't on the final page. So Charlotte put the background in. We then realised that grey text and the moon weren't going to work so she also changed the font colour and size.

This section of the website shows our cast. It tells you what their names and ages are and also gives you an image of them. It also crosses into the trailer as a couple of the images are used there as well. This helps the trailer seems more real.

Update 29

Today we are adding in the footage of the moon, changing the font and text colour as well as sorting out the music and adding in the static noise.

For some reason 'The Project' moved from the end of the trailer to the middle. We are not sure why but by the next draft it will have been put back in its place.

Update 27

So as a way of adding in the video of the moon into our trailer, without it looking out of place as it will be featured multiple times, we are going to have the clip underneath the text in the trailer and one short snippet during the rest of the trailer. This allows us to use our iconography and to have a nice background for our text.

Tonight I am going to get the following sound effects:

1. Static noise
2. All the sound effects from a video titled 'Horror Sound Effects and Music Free'

Also tonight I am going to get some footage of the moon. This will help with the iconography of our trailer and also with helping the poster, website and trailer to link.

Another thing we want to do is make it so that the overlapping of the news reporters doesn't start instantly.

We also want to edit our text font and effects to make it slightly more impacting.

Update 25

After writing the 'blurb' for our website we have decided to once again change the text on our trailer. The new text will read:

1. When they get given their new project
2. little do they know
3. It will be their last

These pieces of text will be shown seperatly from one another in the sections they are shown in above. By changing the text we are linking our trailer and our website.

Update 24

So today we created our poster and have created the first draft of the website for our ancillary task. For the website we need to grab a few images of Charlotte and I working for the 'Creation' page. We also need image of our actors/actresses so that we can put them on our 'Cast' page.

Website 'Blurb'

When their media teacher gives them their new project, little do they know it will be their last.

 

Nicole, Stephanie, Katie and the Charlotte's set out to complete the lastest project given to them. A documentary on local myths and legends. Easy enough right? But when myth turns into reality theres no where the girls can run or hide.

 

When footage from their cameras is found with their bodies the truth about their deaths is revealed...

This is the first draft of our website. At the top is the name of our film. To the right we have the trailer, however we need to talk to Michelle as we are not sure how to show it on the website without the 'RM SafetyNet Plus' sign coming up. Charlotte and I have also come up with some 'Reviews' for our trailer including, '5 Stars says Horror Weekly', 'Best Scare Yet!! tells Shock Horror Magazine' and 'Deadly Story line' we still have to come up with a name for the last reviewer. Underneath the trailer we want to add a 'blurb'.

After talking to Charlotte we agreed that a night sky was probably the best course of action so I have added in a night sky behind the moon and I feel the whole image blends a little more smoothly.

I have added in some trees to fill in the empty space left on the page. I want to put something in the background behind the moon as I don't feel the white is working. I will talk to Charlotte and discuss what she thinks we should do.

So to set the scene we decided that we wanted an image of the moon because for the most part our film is set evening-night. We also think this will help with the idea of silhouetts.
